Asscher Cut Diamonds

This is similar to the emerald cut in that the facets are step-cut around the edges with a clear center table. However, this stone will be much closer to square.
Cushion Cut Diamonds
Also known as “pillow-cut,” this cut also ranges from square to rectangular, but with rounded corners.
Emerald Cut Diamonds

The emerald cut is similar to the cut you’ll see on green emeralds–rectangular, with step-cut facets around the edges, with an overall rectangular shape and a large open table.
Heart Shaped Diamonds
Brilliant cut, this is a unique symbol of love.
Marquise Cut Diamonds
Rounded sides with a point at each end–you have a marquise shape diamond.
Oval Shaped Diamonds
As you’d expect, this is an oval shaped diamond, but with brilliance similar to a round diamond.
Pear Shaped Diamonds
A rounded end with a single point, and you have a pear shape or teardrop shape diamond.
Princess Cut Diamonds
The most popular non-round diamond, it’s a square to slightly rectangular shape with pointed corners. It’s also known as square modified brilliant.
Radiant Cut Diamonds
GIA calls this a Cut cornered, rectangular/square/modified brilliant.
Round Cut Diamonds
Typically with 57 facets, round remains the most popular shape today.
