Diamond Carat

Carat is a description of weight, equal to .2 grams, not to be confused with the purity of gold, which is described in karats. You may hear the term “points,” where 1/100 of a carat is one point.
Twenty-five points equals ¼carat, fifty points equals ½ct, and so on.
